26 Jun

A stonecutter’s son from a little village outside of Torino was recruited in the 1880s to make tombstones in Tasmania.¬† His exact town of birth was unknown, but has recently been discovered! The lineage is now connected to the family in Australia, and has gotten back into the 1500s ! The family is overjoyed. We’ll post more about this man’s life in the near future. The research is still on-going. He had a brother who went to New York ! Much more to learn. It’s a family history book project.
