Italian Recipes

23 Sep

Pallante Center is interested in collecting traditional Italian recipes that immigrant families brought with them from Italy, and also from people in Italy. Perhaps you or your relatives have something to share? Photos of the process and/or finished item would be great. (Please not from any published cookbooks that are copyrighted, but your own family recipe). I want to post them on our website and/or Facebook site (with your family surname, town and region of origin in Italy, as well as your current country of residence. Most exciting this fall would be Christmas holiday meals and treats, and also photos of old style methods still being used in Italy. Little video clips explaining a process also welcome. Send either to my email or to our Facebook site. (Submit without use restrictions). There could be prizes involved. More details later.

Success for a family of Campofelice !

20 Sep

We have obtained an 1858 military record for a family with roots in  Campofelice de Rocella, Palermo, Sicily! This required persistence (willingness to follow “the run-around” by various officials and efforts to push through “red tape”). Thanks to our associates in Italy. Pallante Center can often accomplish things that would be difficult for you to do on your own. We have an extremely high success rate. When Italian offices won’t respond, we can usually get results.
